At In His Steps Ministries, we believe true recovery is not found in programs alone—it is found in a transformed heart through Jesus Christ. Our Addiction Recovery Ministry exists to help men and women break free from addiction, rebuild their lives, and walk in lasting spiritual freedom.
We don’t just help people get sober. We help people get free.
The Need: Why this matters
Addiction is more than a physical dependency—it is a spiritual, emotional, and relational battle. Many who struggle with substance abuse have also faced trauma, rejection, broken families, incarceration, homelessness, and deep isolation. The world often treats addiction as a disease to manage. God calls it something He can heal and redeem. Without addressing the root causes—sin, shame, fear, identity wounds, and separation from God—people remain trapped in cycles of relapse and despair.
What people truly need is restoration from the inside out.
Our Approach: Christ-centered recovery
Our recovery model is discipleship-based, relational, and spiritually focused.
We do not offer quick fixes. We walk alongside people in real life, real struggles, and real growth.
Our approach includes:
Weekly Bible Studies
One-on-One Discipleship
Discipleship Classes
Biblical Counseling
One Step to Freedom Workshops
Community support rooted in accountability and love
We use the One Step to Freedom approach alongside solid biblical teaching to confront isolation, expose lies, and address the root causes of addiction, crime, and homelessness.
Our Biblical Foundation
Our ministry is firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word.
We believe:
Jesus Christ is the ultimate source of freedom
True transformation comes through repentance, faith, and obedience
Healing happens when truth replaces lies
Discipleship is the pathway to lasting change
Scripture teaches us:
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
Everything we do is centered on helping individuals grow in their relationship with Christ and live according to His Word.
